GBTBR was my first Nascar film that we shot in the spring 2016 in Manistee/Grand Rapids Michigan. With a budget of less than 20K, an amazing team of 5, and all empty practical locations we had our work cut out. My favorite location on the film was Joe's Body Shop. The location was an abandoned body shop that we had to turn into a garage that refurbished vintage cars, housed race cars and had a go cart race track. My team and I sourced over 200 old tires, 20 some vintage cars, and countless trips to the junk yard. My other favorite set was Harry's Coffee shop. This too was an abandoned empty building. Our inspiration was taken from a scrabble board, and "Harry" was fashioned after yours truly.
